Cooper Physiotherapy Clinic is primarily focused on the treatment of orthopaedic conditions and sport injuries. Some examples of the conditions we treat are: sports injuries, post-cast fracture, low back pain, neck pain, sprains, rotator cuff tendonitis, osteoarthritis, total knee and hip rehab, motor vehicle whiplash associated disorders, tmj dysfunction, vertigo, knee & ACL reconstruction rehab, tennis elbow, work related injuries, blocked milk ducts, gardening injuries.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Pelvic health physiotherapy provides treatment of pelvic floor disfunction, which refers to a wide range of conditions that occur when the muscles of the pelvic floor are weak or tight or there is impairment of one or more joints in the pelvic region. Acupuncture/dryneedling are used in the management of patients' musculoskeletal or neurological conditions including; headaches, chronic pain, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, low back pain and osteoarthritis. Specific points on the body are stimulated by the insertion of needles to reduce pain, swelling and/or alter physiological function.

Massage therapy

Our emphasis is on therapeutic massage (Swedish massage, trigger point & myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, prenatal, postpartum) for acute injuries and chronic conditions. Our services include relaxation, gift certificates, postpartum, stress release and hot stone massage.

Sports Braces

Your Physician or Physiotherapist may suggest or prescribe a brace for conditions such as: tennis elbow, knee O/A, tendonitis. We offer an off of the shelf supply of these braces for purchase. Custom braces can be arranged through PG Ortho ( Kinemedics ( Most braces that contain hard plastic or metal and are for daily use will be covered with prescription by your Extended Health Insurance.

Custom Orthotics

Plaster Cast for Orthotics

Patients are assessed by the Physiotherapist; this includes foot assessment, gait analysis and diagnosis of dysfunction. Molds of the patient's feet are taken using the Plaster Cast Technique. They are then sent to Ottawa Orthotic Lab ( for fabrication. Orthotics are returned in approximately 10-14 days. A prescription from your family physician is required for submission to your Extended Healthcare for reimbursement. Should the Physiotherapist think that Custom Orthotics are not indicated, we have a variety of off the shelf insoles which may be purchased.
